Terms of use

1. The service

expenseOS is a personal finance app operated by 365 Web Developers (Pune, India). You must be 16 or older. Finie is informational and is not financial, investment, or tax advice.

2. Your account

You sign in with an email one-time code. You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share your login codes.

3. Anti-spam: email providers

This is our anti-spam policy. It helps keep accounts tied to a lasting inbox and reduces fake signups that use temporary email services.

Temporary or disposable email addresses are not accepted. You can sign up with a lasting consumer provider listed below, OR with a genuine personal or work domain.

If a real provider was blocked by mistake, or you want a consumer provider added to the recognized list, email sumiet@expenseos.app.

Suspicious or abusive accounts

expenseOS is for real people managing personal finances in India. We run an anti-spam and anti-abuse programme alongside the email rules above. We may refuse registration, suspend access, or delete an account (including its data, as described in our Privacy policy) when we reasonably believe an account is not genuine—for example: signups tied to disposable or high-abuse email domains, automated or bulk registration, misleading profile information, activity that looks like scraping or fraud, or use that violates these terms. We apply these measures to protect the service and other users, NOT on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, or residence. Where practical we may warn you first; however, we may act immediately without warning when delay would increase harm/suspicion. If you think we made a mistake, contact sumiet@expenseos.app from the same email address you initially signed up with.

4. Deleting your account

You can leave in two ways:

  • In the app: Profile → Delete account. Type DELETE. Deletion is immediate and not recoverable. Download a CSV of your transactions first if you want a copy.
  • By email: write to sumiet@expenseos.app from your signup address. We complete email requests within 7 days.

5. Inactivity auto-deletion

If you do not add a user-posted transaction for 31 days, we schedule your account for automatic deletion. Recurring auto-posts (and scheduled goal contributions) do not count. Logging via the add form, Finie confirm, a quick template, or CSV import does count. Signing in without posting does not.

We warn you on day 16, day 26, and 6 hours before deletion, by email, Finie chat, and the Insights Hub. On day 31 we email a CSV of your transactions (if any, and if the file is small enough) and permanently delete the account. This is not recoverable.

Household owners with other active members are not auto-deleted until those members leave or ownership is transferred.

6. What we keep

After deletion, personal data is gone. Anonymous audit-log UUIDs may be kept for up to 7 years for legal compliance. See the Privacy policy.
